Question is, should I use a black texta and fill in the notches and numbers?

I'd say colour it in but if in doubt use a washable marker in case it looks bad. :) cute flip flops.

It would look very groovy I think, no doubting that is was a tape measure then! ...instead of black you could use a colour maybe, orange, pink..?
